In winter, the ski area, known for its record snowfall, is open for skiing, snowshoe outings and sledging. The cable car to the slopes is only 200 metres away from our hotel. In summer, ride your mountain bike down the slopes of the Cirque de Lys or explore the trails around Pont d'Espagne. Classified as a Grand Site d'Occitanie, it is the starting point for many hikes to Lac de Gaube or the Oulettes refuge at the foot of the Vignemale, the highest peak in the Pyrenees.
The village of Cauterets, with its typical 19th century heritage, is also well worth a visit. Renowned for centuries for its healing waters, it is home to a spa centre specialising in ENT and rheumatology cures.
